Project’s duration: March 2024 – June 2027

PIC – Legal Center for the Protection of Human Rights and the Environment, as part of a public procurement issued by the The Government Office for the Support and Integration of Migrants, is carrying out awareness-raising activities, workshops, and trainings aimed at the early detection and prevention of radicalization.

As part of the project, awareness-raising and educational activities are being conducted in various Slovenian cities, namely Ljubljana, Kranj, Celje, Maribor, and Novo mesto. In each of these locations, five training sessions will be held, targeting different groups such as social and educational workers, police, religious communities, etc.

After the completion of the training sessions, and following the collection of experiences and identification of needs, the project will move into the phase of developing a training manual and practical guidelines for quicker and more timely detection, as well as appropriate reporting to the competent authorities concerning individuals who may show signs of radicalization that could lead to violent extremism. To this end, the project team will design a manual.

In addition, recommendations will be developed for further steps and efforts to prevent radicalization in society.

The project is co-funded by the Internal Security Fund and the European Union.
