Project’s purpose: The project aims to raise awareness and improve advocacy on the interconnectedness of the climate and biodiversity crises and their solutions, and the importance of nature-based solutions for climate change adaptation.

Project’s goals:

  • Information and awareness-raising on the interconnectedness of the climate and biodiversity crises and how to tackle them as important priorities;
  • Better advocacy and empowerment of NGOs as well as professional community on the importance of nature-based solutions for climate change adaptation and reducing contradictions in their deployment;
  • Developing concrete nature-based solutions for climate change adaptation in inland water environments.

Project’s partners: PIC – Legal Center for the Protection of Human Rights and the Environment in DOPPS – BirdLife Slovenia.

Project’s duration: 2 years (June 2024–June 2026).

Amount and financiers: 179.990 EUR, Slovenian Environmental Public Fund (Eco Fund) and Ministery for Environment, Climate and Energy.
