Več kot sto udeležencev in udeleženk je v sredo, 24. aprila 2024, poslušalo predavanja o pravni odgovornosti držav in korporacij v dobi podnebnih sprememb. Ugledni predavatelji in predavateljice so predavali na tretjem seminarju v seriji Komu zvoni, ki je potekal prek spleta in v angleškem jeziku. Z veseljem prav tako poročamo, da so udeleženci in udeleženke seminarja prihajali iz različnih držav po svetu.

Po uvodnem nagovoru vodje okoljskega oddelka na PIC – Pravnem centru za varstvo človekovih pravic in okolja Aljoše Petka, je zbrane nagovoril posebni poročevalec ZN za človekove pravice in okolje, dr. David Boyd. Ker je bil v času podnebnega seminarja na službeni misiji, se nam žal ni mogel pridružiti, nam je pa zato svoj nagovor poslal. Prisluhnite mu:

- Dr. Samuel Ruiz-Tagle (University of Cambridge): Podnebne spremembe v pravu prostorskega načrtovanja.
- Kertu Birgit Anton (Estonian Environmental Law Center): Petki za prihodnost Estonija proti Narva-Jõesuu (termoelektrarna).
- Luka Štrubelj (PIC): Pravna odgovornost korporacij za podnebne spremembe.

On Wednesday, 24 April 2024, more than 100 participants had the change to listen to the lectures about the legal responsibilities of states and corporations in the era of climate change. Distinguished speakers delivered lectures at the seminar For Whom the Bell Tolls: Climate Rights & Litigation, which was held online and in English. We were pleased that participants came from different countries around the world.

After the opening remarks by Aljoša Petek, who leads the environmental department at PIC – Legal Center for the Protection of Human Rights and the Environment, the participants were addressed by the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights and the Environment, Dr David Boyd. Since he was on a work mission when the seminar took place, he could not join us in person. Nevertheless he sent us his address:
